Furniture Assembly

Ready-to-assemble furniture built in the room where it will stand — square, tight, doors and drawers lined up, and the cardboard gone before we leave.

Bed frame and nightstands in a bedroom

What furniture assembly covers

Common flat-pack pieces from the usual retailers, assembled to the manufacturer's instructions.

Typical pieces

  • Beds and bed frames
  • Dressers and nightstands
  • Desks
  • Bookcases and shelving units
  • Dining, coffee and side tables
  • Cabinets and storage furniture
  • Other customer-provided flat-pack furniture — send the item and we'll confirm

Have ready

  • The boxes in or near the room it's going in
  • Product names or links for each piece
  • Clear floor space to work
  • Where you want each piece placed

Separate scope

  • Wall anchoring into masonry or unusual walls, or with special hardware
  • Oversized or commercial-grade pieces
  • Damaged or missing parts
  • Custom carpentry or modifying a piece to fit
  • Anything with electrical or plumbing hook-ups
  • Structural changes to the room

Mention any of these when you ask for a quote. If parts arrive damaged or missing, we'll stop and tell you rather than improvise.

Bookcases and a desk in a home office

Built to the manual, checked before we leave

Flat-pack furniture usually fails at the same points: a cam lock left loose, a back panel not squared, a drawer runner a few millimetres off.

We follow the manufacturer's steps, check every piece is square and stable, adjust doors and drawers, and anchor tall pieces to the wall using the supplied anti-tip kit where the wall allows.

How it works

  1. 01

    Send the list

Each piece, with a product name or link, and where it's going.

  2. 02

    Confirm scope

We confirm what's included, the price and an appointment window.

  3. 03

    Build in place

Each piece assembled to the instructions in the room it belongs in.

  4. 04

    Check and clear

Doors and drawers adjusted, tall pieces anchored, packaging taken away.

Common questions

Do you take the packaging away?
Yes. Boxes, foam and plastic are cleared before we leave as part of the job.
Will you anchor tall furniture to the wall?
Yes, using the anti-tip hardware supplied with the piece, into standard drywall and studs. Masonry, tile or anchoring that needs special hardware is quoted separately.
What if a part is missing or damaged?
We'll stop on that piece and tell you, so you can get a replacement from the retailer. We don't improvise structural parts.
How is it priced?
Quoted from the list of pieces before anything is scheduled. Send product names or links and we'll come back with a clear price.
